Meeks Homes Project recognises that people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or experiencing severe hardship may be vulnerable.
The charity is committed to acting responsibly, protecting beneficiaries from harm and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
Trustees, volunteers and anyone acting on behalf of the charity are expected to follow safeguarding procedures, report concerns promptly and act in the best interests of beneficiaries.
Meeks Homes Project will:
put safeguarding arrangements in place appropriate to its activities
ensure concerns are reported and handled responsibly
provide guidance to trustees and volunteers
work with appropriate statutory services where needed
review safeguarding arrangements as the charity develops
